North Reading Police and Fire Respond to  Crash Involving Vehicle and Pedestrian

NORTH READING — Police Chief Michael Murphy and Fire Chief Don Stats report that the North Reading Police Department is investigating crash in which a pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle.

NORTH READING — Police Chief Michael Murphy and Fire Chief Don Stats report that the North Reading Police Department is investigating crash in which a pedestrian suffered serious injuries when he was struck by a vehicle.

North Reading Police and North Reading Fire were called to the area of 38 Main St. by multiple 911 calls received about 5:10 p.m., reporting a pedestrian was struck by a motor vehicle. 

Crews arrived to find a 30-year-old male pedestrian suffering from injuries that are serious but not believed to be life-threatening. That male was transported to Lahey Hospital and Medical Center by the North Reading Fire Department. 

The operator of the vehicle involved in the crash remained at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation by the North Reading Police Department.
