IPSWICH — Town Manager Anthony Marino and Public Health Director Colleen Fermon announce that the Ipswich Health Department will hold a free flu clinic for residents ages 60 and older next week.

Thursday, Oct. 21, from 1-3 p.m.
WHERE:
Council on Aging Cafeteria, Town Hall, 25 Green St.
WHO:
All Ipswich residents ages 60 and older.
WHAT:
The Ipswich Health Department will administer the FluZone Quadrivalent vaccine to those 60 and older. FluZone Quadrivalent is approved to help protect eligible people ages six months and older against four strains: Two Influenza A viruses and two Influenza B viruses. FluZone Quadrivalent is not a high-dose vaccine.
Those who visit the clinic are asked to wear short sleeves and bring proof of insurance. Masks must be worn in the clinic by state policy. Residents are reminded to stay home if they feel ill.

Ipswich seniors who need help scheduling an appointment may call the Council on Aging at 978-356-6650 for help.
“We encourage our older population to attend this clinic, and stay safe, healthy and protected from the flu this winter,” Director Fermon said.
