EAST KINGSTON – Fire Chief Ed Warren and Police Chief Mike LePage are providing an update on a crash that claimed the life of a 33-year-old man on Sunday afternoon.

The New Hampshire Office of the Chief Medical Examiner determined the 33-year-old driver suffered a significant medical event while driving prior to the crash.

Emergency crews responded to Giles Road near Joslin Road on Sunday, Aug. 29, at approximately 3 p.m., for a report of a single-vehicle crash.

The 33-year-old driver did not survive, and a juvenile passenger suffered injuries that are considered serious but not believed to be life-threatening.

During the preliminary on-scene investigation, East Kingston Police determined a 2011 Toyota Rav4 failed to navigate a curve in Giles Road, left the roadway and subsequently struck trees.

The crash remains under investigation by East Kingston Police. No additional updates are available at this time.
