Taunton Police Introduce Department’s New Public Information Officer

TAUNTON — Chief Edward J. Walsh is pleased to introduce the Taunton Police Department’s new public information officer, Lt. Glen Jackson.

Lt. Jackson will begin this new role immediately. He takes over for the department’s previous public information officer, Lt. Eric Nichols, who will oversee the department’s process of working toward State Certification and Accreditation from the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission.

“I’m pleased to welcome Lt. Jackson into this new role,” Chief Walsh said. “Lt. Jackson is a highly-capable individual with years of experience within our department under his belt, and I’m positive he will serve this position well.”

Lt. Jackson has been a member of the Taunton Police Department for 22 years. He’s held the rank of lieutenant for the past four years, and has previously served as a sergeant and patrolman.
