ROCKLAND — Superintendent Alan Cron and K-12 Art Director Cheryl Thompson are pleased to share that the Rockland Public Schools is currently holding its first Virtual Arts Festival.
This year the district’s Art Department has provided students in all grade levels with a variety of art instruction using remote, hybrid and in-person learning. Despite the pandemic, students have worked tirelessly to learn new art skills and produce pieces ranging from drawings and watercolors to digital paintings and enhancements.
“We want to thank all of our students for being so patient in working with us to find new ways to be creative and make art during the pandemic,” Director Thompson said. “We are so proud of the work they have accomplished and are excited to show off their talents to the entire Rockland community.”
The virtual exhibit features hundreds of art pieces across all grade levels.

“Our students have shown tremendous resiliency and determination throughout this entire pandemic, and no more so is that true than in the incredible work our students have produced in art classes throughout the district,” Superintendent Cron said. “We applaud them for the efforts and congratulate them on all they were able to accomplish.”
