WHAT:
Since its inception in 2005, the NEMLEC Police Foundation and its all-volunteer board of directors have raised more than $150,000 to directly fund the operations of the North Eastern Massachusetts Law Enforcement Council.
The Foundation has hosted dozens of high-level training courses for police officers, detectives and superior officers, which have had an immediate impact on crime prevention and emergency preparedness.

The NEMLEC Foundation also raises thousands of dollars each year for charities that are near and dear to police officers, including Cops for Kids with Cancer.
The tournament helps support programs including NEMLEC’s School Threat Assessment and Response System (STARS) training, comprehensive motorcycle training, risk management training and annual basic and advanced crime scene classes, among others.
The tournament has already filled all available slots for foursomes, but is seeking sponsors to support the tournament and the Foundation’s work. The 2020 tournament was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, eliminating a major source of fundraising and limiting the Foundation’s ability to support its programs and charities.
As part of this year’s tournament, the NEMLEC Police Foundation is proud to honor Deputy Chief Stephen Chaput of the Dracut Police Department. Deputy Chief Chaput will be honored for 32 outstanding years of service to NEMLEC, including seven years as leader of the NEMLEC SWAT team. Deputy Chief Chaput’s contributions have been an integral part of NEMLEC’s success.
The dinner after the tournament also will feature a raffle and silent auction. Those who wish to donate raffle or auction items may email Sharon Crowley at nemlecfoundation@yahoo.com.
All participants will be required to follow the appropriate COVID-19 prevention guidance.
