RAYMOND — Superintendent Tina McCoy is pleased to announce a second COVID-19 vaccination clinic was held for district employees today at Raymond High School.
The clinic was held on Thursday, April 8 for all Raymond district employees to receive their second dose of the vaccine. Employees were required to sign up in advance for the optional vaccination opportunity. The first clinic was held on Thursday, March 18.
In all, over 400 individuals were vaccinated at both clinics. Employees from the Nottingham School District were able to attend on both days as well. The vaccine was provided and administered by staff from the town’s Walgreens pharmacy. The Raymond Education Association also provided treats for participants at the clinic.
“We are proud to be able to offer this peace of mind for our staff and to be able to share these resources with the employees of the Nottingham School District as well,” Superintendent McCoy said. “Thank you to everyone who organized both clinics and made it an easy process for all who signed up.”
As a reminder there will be no school on Friday, April 9 for all students.
This clinic is one of the many ways the district is preparing for the return of full-time learning for students later this month.
The district announced earlier this week that students will have the option to participate in full-time in-person learning starting the week of April 19. A fully-remote option will be available for those who wish to continue following that model.
More information about the reopening can be found here.
