Raymond School District Invites Families to Complete Survey Regarding Return to Fully In-Person Learning

Survey Must be Completed by Noon on Monday, March 22

RAYMOND — Superintendent Tina McCoy would like to invite parents and guardians to take an important survey to gauge their desire to return to full-time, in-person learning later this spring.

The survey can be found here and families will need to complete one survey for each child in the school system. Those who are unable to complete the survey online can call the main office of the school that their student(s) attend:

• Lamprey River Elementary School: 603-895-3117
• Iber Holmes Gove Middle School: 603-895-3394
• Raymond High School: 603-895-6616

Surveys must be completed by noon on Monday, March 22. This is essential for the district’s planning and preparation.

District officials are looking to transition to in-person learning five days a week this May. A fully remote option will be available for families who wish to continue it. Students have been following a hybrid model, alternating between in-person and remote learning, since the start of the school year.

This survey is meant to determine how many district families wish to have their student learn in person five days a week and how many wish to have their students continue with fully remote learning.

“We are excited to hopefully welcome students back for fully in-person learning later this year. To help with the planning process, we are asking all district families to complete this survey so that we ensure we meet the needs of our students and families,” Superintendent McCoy said. “This has been a challenging year, but our students and teachers have been resilient, learning to quickly adapt and figuring out creative ways to make a learning environment that sets students up for success.”

Safety measures designed to prevent the spread of COVID-19 will remain in place should schools reopen in May. This includes wearing masks or face coverings; practicing social distancing in the common areas; spacing out desks in the classrooms; and frequently cleaning and disinfecting high touch surfaces, such as tables and doorknobs, throughout the school day.

The district will continue to work closely with local and state public health officials, and follow all necessary guidelines and restrictions.
