Town of Littleton Announces Waitlist for Local COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic

Nashoba Associated Boards of Health Devens Clinic to Open Wednesday By Appointment Only

LITTLETON — Town Administrator Anthony Ansaldi and the Elder and Human Services Director Ashley Shaheen announce that residents 75-years-old and older can now sign up for a waitlist to support the scheduling of vaccination appointments at the Nashoba Associated Boards of Health clinic. 

The Baker-Polito Administration announced last week that residents 75-years-old and older would become eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccination on Monday, Feb. 1. The general public is not anticipated to become eligible for the vaccination until April. To review the state’s vaccination distribution timeline, click here. 

The Town of Littleton is accepting names of residents 75-years-old and older on a first come, first served basis to be placed on a waitlist that will be utilized to schedule appointments at the clinic, which will be held in Devens and opens on Wednesday, Feb. 3. The clinic will be held weekly on Wednesdays as vaccine doses become available. 

The clinic and waitlist are only open to residents 75-years-old and older at this time. No walk-ins will be accepted and residents must add their name to the waitlist to be scheduled for an appointment.

Beginning on Monday, Feb. 1, residents can call the Town of Littleton’s newly established vaccine information hotline at 978-540-2444 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday to add their names to the waitlist. Town officials ask residents to remain patient as a high call volume is anticipated.

“We are thankful to be able to help schedule appointments for residents at this local clinic and will continue to provide updates about the vaccination process as more information becomes available,” Town Administrator Ansaldi said. “We deeply appreciate our community’s continued understanding and cooperation, and look forward to the coming weeks and months as more segments of the population will become eligible and the vaccination becomes more accessible.”

While residents wait for an appointment at the Devens vaccination site, they are also advised to continue to check the state’s website on a daily basis (for instructions on this, see below), check in with their primary care physician and check in with their local pharmacy to see if they may be able to obtain a vaccine at an earlier time.

• Visit mass.gov/COVID-vaccine to find your phase and priority group
• If you’re eligible, visit mass.gov/COVIDVaccineMap to find a vaccine clinic near you
• Make an appointment online and fill out the attestation form

The Commonwealth is also actively working to establish additional resources for those without internet access. 

Residents should note that while the state is creating more mass vaccination sites and though they may become eligible to receive the vaccination in the coming weeks, vaccination distribution is contingent on the number of physical vaccinations available. The State of Massachusetts, at this time, is prepared to distribute more vaccinations than it has. 

The state has not yet announced when individuals 65-years-old and older and those with two or more comorbidities will be able to receive the vaccine. This will be announced when more information is available about additional doses of the vaccine to be provided to the state by the federal government.
