CONCORD — New Hampshire School Administrators Association (NHSAA) Executive Director Carl Ladd and the NHSAA are pleased to share a video highlighting the response of districts statewide to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“From the ground up, districts in New Hampshire have risen to meet the needs of their communities amid COVID-19, and across the state, every community has needed something a little different,” Executive Director Ladd said. “Administrators, educators, facilities workers, special education directors, food services employees, coaches, parents, guardians, students, and the broader community have all played a role in making sure young people continue to learn, grow and flourish last spring and this school year. It’s a testament not only to the value New Hampshire places on education, but the resiliency of our schools and our communities.”
The video seeks to showcase the multifaceted responses of districts to adapt their curriculum, services and facilities to reopen schools through a variety of learning models amid the ongoing pandemic.
Speakers in the video include administrators, educators and staff from districts across the state, including Hampton School District (SAU 90), Hudson School District (SAU 81), Kearsarge Regional School District (SAU 65), Winnisquam Regional School District (SAU 59) and White Mountains Regional School District (SAU 36).

In the video, Tracie Neary, a third grade teacher in the Remote Learning Academy at Hudson School District’s Hills Garrison School, speaks about her experience teaching distanced learning this school year.
“I am seeing them every day, the families waving hi. We’re kind of building this together. It is a brand new way to teach,” Neary said. “It is like being part of 24 families. We’ve been able to develop a community where otherwise it can be fairly lonely during the pandemic.”
Kearsarge Regional School District Superintendent Winfried Feneberg also speaks in the video about technology upgrades needed to support learning amid COVID-19, and how those improvements may benefit future learning as well.
“There is no going backwards when the pandemic is done. We will see a lot of benefit resulting from those technology upgrades, but also from teachers learning new methods and feeling comfortable with technology,” Superintendent Feneberg said.
