STOW — Town Administrator Denise Dembkoski and the Stow Board of Selectmen unilaterally condemn the violence and seditious actions that took place in Washington on Wednesday at the United States Capitol.
“As Americans, we stand for a free and fair democratic process, and that is exactly what transpired in November with the election of Joseph R. Biden as the next President of the United States. Any act that seeks to discredit the fundamentals of our democracy must be called out and condemned for what they are: seditious and unpatriotic.
“It is our sincere hope that the perpetrators of these deadly acts are identified, named publicly and made to face justice.
“It is shameful that the President of the United States had a role to play in encouraging these actions. As municipal leaders, we stand in solidarity with Mayor Muriel Bowser, who is in the unique and untenable position of having no state government to aid her in times of major crisis.”
