Tests Available to All
EAST BRIDGEWATER — Fire Chief and Emergency Management Director Timothy Harhen and Susan Mulloy of the East Bridgewater Board of Health would like to inform the East Bridgewater community that COVID-19 tests will be available this coming weekend to anyone who would like to be tested.
The testing site will be in operation at these times:
- Saturday, Jan. 9 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Sunday, Jan. 10 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Recipients should download and complete a registration form before they arrive at the testing site, which can be found here.
Tests will be conducted at East Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School, 143 Plymouth St. Vehicles will enter off of Plymouth Street and will receive the test entirely from their vehicle. At no point should testing recipients ever leave their vehicle. After the drive-up test, vehicles will exit onto Route 18.
The town is encouraging anyone who gathered for the holiday break to receive a test, in an effort to curb the potential spread of transmission in the coming months before a vaccine is available to residents.
On test day, test recipients are asked to bring their registration form, their insurance ID (if applicable) and driver’s license.
Testing is open to and free for everyone. You do not need to have symptoms to be tested, and those getting tested do not need to be a resident of East Bridgewater.
“This is an effort that could not happen without support of various members of the community, as well as East Bridgewater Junior-Senior High School,” Chief Harhen said. “We are excited to bring this opportunity at no cost to anyone who would like it, and are hoping to combat COVID-19 through these tests, especially after the holidays.”
The Town of East Bridgewater has partnered with the ACCU Reference Medical Lab to organize and administer the tests.
