John Guilfoil Public Relations Announces Pro Bono Services and Invoice Forgiveness for Charity Clients

Company to Forgo More than $23,000 in Due or Upcoming Invoices for Website Hosting and Communications Services to Charities and Nonprofit Organizations

GEORGETOWN — John Guilfoil Public Relations LLC (JGPR) announces today that it will forgive more than $23,000 in invoices and grant pro bono status to 14 charities and nonprofit organizations that previously paid or were due to pay the company for website design, web hosting or communications services.

“It would not be right to charge a webhosting fee to a non-profit like the Bridgewater Police Department Foundation’s 5K Run when its road race and primary fundraiser could not take place in 2020,” said company founder John Guilfoil. “Our clients have stuck by us through this exceptionally difficult year, and we are giving back to our heroic first responders in the best way we know how: through our continued support for the causes they care about.”

The following organizations have been notified that their ongoing services with JGPR will be free through at least the end of 2021:

The organizations listed above represent several charities that support the work of first responders, medical professionals, recovery coaches, homeless outreach workers, mental health professionals and educators, and many of the people behind the scenes at these non-profits already donate their time or work to support their communities. They also represent a collective gathering point for police and fire chiefs from across New England to meet and discuss ways to improve public safety and wellness.

“Amidst a global pandemic, it should not be so easy to forget our police officers and firefighters and the selfless women and men who choose these noble professions,” Guilfoil said. “Hosting a website or writing a press release for free won’t change the world, but it’s our way of telling our first responders that we do not forget them.”

This pro bono work joins JGPR’s existing, longstanding portfolio of donated web, fundraising and communications consulting services to good causes including Winchester Hospital, The Salvation Army, Skiduck, the Cohasset Working Dog Foundation, the NEMLEC Police Foundation and several others. The company also has a long history of providing free, advanced communications support to agencies whenever a police officer or firefighter is killed in the line of duty.
