BRAINTREE — Chief Mark Dubois and the Braintree Police Department are pleased to invite residents to the Braintree Police “Fill-A-Cruiser” Gift Card Drive this weekend.

WHEN:

Saturday, Dec. 5 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHERE:

Braintree Town Hall, 1 John F. Kennedy Memorial Dr.

WHAT:

The Braintree Police Department, with Brewster Ambulance Service, will be collecting gift cards this year in place of the department’s traditional Fill-A-Cruiser Toy Drive.

All gift card donations will benefit the Marge Crispin Center and will allow Braintree families in need to use the gift cards to purchase toys. Residents are encouraged to donate gift cards from any area retail store.

Donations will be made through a drive-up and drop-off system at the Braintree Town Hall and drivers will not need to exit their vehicle during the donation process.

All officers will be wearing masks during the collection. Braintree Police request that all vehicle occupants wear a mask as well while attending the event.

New England Coffee will also be giving out coffee, hot chocolate and cookies during the event.

“We greatly appreciate the support from our community members that has helped the toy drive grow into a great community event each year,” Chief Dubois said. “Though this year’s event will look different due to the pandemic, we hope our residents will still consider donating what they are able to in the form of gift cards to help those in need in our community this holiday season.”
