SUTTON — Superintendent Winfried Feneberg and Principal Stephen Paterson are pleased to announce the Kearsarge Regional Middle School chorus created a virtual performance to share with the community.
The group of eight students recorded their performance of Bruno Mars’ song “Count on Me” earlier this month. Chorus Director Elizabeth Duvall organized the performance to help give students a creative outlet while engaging in remote learning and students were able to choose which song they wanted to perform for this first video.
“By starting virtually, it’s my hope that our remote chorus practices are a comforting, fun activity for students amid COVID-19,” Duvall said. “I hope that I can continue to offer singing opportunities and those that need them to make it through these difficult times will find comfort in it.”

“This video was a great way for students to come together and participate in one of their favorite activities while still participating in remote learning either at school or at home,” Principal Paterson said. “We hope you will enjoy it as much as we do, thank you to all who participated and to Elizabeth for creating this performance.”
The students who participated were seventh grader Samantha Berg of Newbury, eighth grader Serenity Cole of Wilmot, seventh grader Hayden Considine of Warner, seventh grader Emma Geraghty of South Sutton, seventh grader Abigail Gusakov of Warner, seventh grader Lena Howell of Sutton, seventh grader Elie McCarthy of Wilmot, and sixth grader Chelsea Snow of Sutton.
“I applaud the work of the KRMS Chorus and Chorus Director Elizabeth Duvall for putting together such a special video for not just families, but the entire Kearsarge community to enjoy,” Superintendent Feneberg said. “Our staff have come up with innovative ideas on how to share our students’ work during the pandemic, and this is a shining example of how that can be done.”
