Safe Harbor Cohasset Announces Webinar on Relationships and Substance Use

COHASSET — Town Manager Christopher Senior is pleased to announce a presentation by Health Imperatives, Inc., that will be focusing on the connection between relationships, substance use and how they can affect one another.

COHASSET — Town Manager Christopher Senior is pleased to announce a presentation by Health Imperatives, Inc., that will be focusing on the connection between relationships, substance use and how they can affect one another.

The presentation is being sponsored by Safe Harbor Cohasset.

“Healthy relationships play a massive role in our overall well-being, and underage substance use can alter or determine relationships,” said Nicole Balaschi, Program Director of the Safe Harbor Cohasset Coalition. “We understand this is a tough topic to discuss, but it is important information and the more parents, youth and community members know, the better prepared they’ll be.”

WHO:

The webinar will be presented by Katharine Tyler and Brittany Badgett of Health Imperatives, Inc.

Tyler has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Boston College and is a licensed mental health counselor in Massachusetts. At Health Imperatives, she serves as the Vice President of Violence Intervention and Prevention.

Badgett has a master’s degree in Clinical Psychology from Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University and serves as the Youth & Community Services Manager with the Violence Intervention and Prevention team at Health Imperatives. 

WHAT:

The Town of Cohasset and Safe Harbor Cohasset are inviting residents and the public to attend this presentation, which will focus on relationships and substance use.

The presenters will discuss the connection between relationships and substance use and how they affect one another while also defining what makes a relationship healthy versus unhealthy. The webinar will also focus on identifying red flags in a relationship and identifying indicators that substance use is playing an unhealthy role in a relationship.

Through this presentation viewers will be provided with resources around relationship support and substance use.

The presentation is free to attend but registration is required.
