EAST BRIDGEWATER — The East Bridgewater Police and Fire Departments, the East Bridgewater Department of Public Works and the East Bridgewater Council on Aging are pleased to announce that a community shredding and prescription drug take-back event will be taking place later this month.
WHEN:
Saturday, Oct. 24, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
WHERE:
The Center at Sachem Rock, 355 Plymouth St., East Bridgewater
WHAT:
The following will be available for residents:
- A mobile shred truck will be on site. All shredding will be done on the premises, and paper to be shredded must be in a cardboard box that will not be returned.
- A prescription drug take-back will be available. This is a safe space to dispose of any unused/unwanted prescription medications.
- Needle disposal will also be available. Needles must be in a sealed plastic container (such as a laundry detergent bottle/coffee can). Unused needles can remain in original packaging.
- Oil based paint and large battery disposal will also be available. Examples of batteries are those from cars, mowers, etc.
Appropriate social distancing shall be maintained at all times during the event. Drop-off will be contactless; residents are asked to remain in their vehicle and wear a mask during drop-off.
The event is available to East Bridgewater residents only.
