Raymond School District Announces Student Chromebook Distribution Schedule and Requirements

RAYMOND — Superintendent Tina McCoy announces that Chromebooks for students in grade 6-12 following the hybrid learning model will be distributed during the first two weeks of school.

Each student will be given a Chromebook laptop, charger and computer case to use when participating in remote learning throughout the school week. Raymond High School students will receive their devices during the first week of school and Iber Holmes Gove Middle School students will receive their devices during the second week of school.

In order to receive their equipment, each student’s parent or guardian must have fully completed and submitted their new or returning student registration, signed and returned their technology sign-out sheet, and returned any previously borrowed technology before they’re able to borrow the equipment.

Students participating in hybrid learning will be expected to bring their device to school when learning in-person and fully charge their devices prior to the start of the school day.

Due to manufacturing delays, it may take several weeks for the district to receive the remaining devices. The remaining students in kindergarten through fifth grade will be issued their Chromebooks in descending grade level order as shipments come in. Based on the expected delays, it may take up to eight weeks for all students to receive their Chromebooks.

Students in Pre-K through fifth grade will be asked to use their own computers until their district-issued Chromebook arrives. If you are in need of a device, please call the Technology Support Hotline at 603-690-9005.

Families whose students are participating in fully remote learning had the opportunity to pick up their equipment last week. Those who were not able to pick up the equipment at that time should call the Technology Support Hotline at 603-690-9005 to set up an appointment for a later date. After all the equipment has been received and distributed, all Raymond students will be required to use a district-provided device so that students are learning on a common learning platform, and to ensure that each computer has uniform functionality, and safety and cyber security requirements.
