AVON — Chief Jeffrey J. Bukunt is pleased to announce that a member of the Avon Police Department recently completed his academy training and was sworn in last week.
Officer Hans Christopher Guillaume graduated from the Cambridge/Northeastern University Police Academy, Class #2, on June 17.
On Thursday, June 25, he was sworn in at Avon Town Hall by Town Clerk Patricia Bessette.
“I want to congratulate the newest member of our department on completing training at the academy and being sworn in,” Chief Bukunt said. “It was great to see him sworn in with his family watching and we wish Officer Guillaume well as he begins his career serving our community.”
Officer Guillaume was born in Haiti and grew up in Boston. He graduated from Bridgewater State University in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice.
Officer Guillaume is currently in the first week of the department’s 10-week field training program.
