MARION — Town Administrator James McGrail and the Marion Board of Selectmen announce that a virtual pre-Town Meeting event will be held for residents prior to the Annual Town Meeting.

WHAT:
The Selectmen will present and discuss Town Meeting articles to give residents the opportunity to ask questions and familiarize themselves with the warrant before the Town Meeting.
Notable items on this year’s warrant include approving the Town’s operating budget, water and sewer enterprise funds, and funds for fire hydrant replacement and new outdoor facilities at Silvershell Beach. Officials will also discuss warrant items such as the construction of a new emergency egress to be built at Sippican Elementary School and Marion’s future in the Carver Marion Wareham Regional Refuse Disposal District.

The Annual Town Meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 22 at 6:45 p.m. at the Sippican Elementary School.
