City of Rochester Shares Deadline to Make Changes to Voter Registration

ROCHESTER — City Manager Blaine Cox and City Clerk Kelly Walters wish to share information about the deadline to make changes to voter registration for the upcoming state primary and presidential elections.

The state primary is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 8, and the presidential election is set to be held on Tuesday, Nov. 3.

Tuesday, June 2, will be the last day for registered voters to submit party affiliation changes. Residents will be able to make this change in-person at the City Clerk’s Office on June 2 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Party affiliation change requests can also be mailed to the City Clerk’s Office, 31 Wakefield St. Rochester, NH 03867 or dropped off in the City Clerk’s drop box at 19 Wakefield St.

Completed applications that are mailed in or dropped off must be signed by a witness.

In addition, the Supervisors of the Checklist will be in session on June 2 from 7-7:30 p.m. in order to accept new voter registrations, party changes, and other changes.

All eligible voters will be able to use absentee ballots for the State Primary and Presidential Election.

Absentee ballot applications can be found here. Completed applications can be mailed to: City Clerk’s Office, 31 Wakefield St., Rochester, NH 03867. Once the application is processed, ballots will be sent to the resident’s home or mailing address and must be returned to the City Clerk’s Office.
