Town Election to be Held Saturday, June 6
DIGHTON — Town Administrator Mallory Aronstein and Town Clerk Sue Medeiros are pleased to announce that Dighton residents can now participate in early voting for the upcoming annual town election.
Effective immediately, any registered voter in the Town of Dighton may complete a 2020 Municipal Election Early Ballot Application to vote in Dighton’s Annual Town Election. The 2020 Municipal Election Early Ballot Application is only available for the 2020 Town Election due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Early ballot applications are available on the town website, the Massachusetts Secretary of State website and in the outer foyer at the Dighton Town Hall, 979 Somerset Ave.
Applications can be mailed to the Town Clerk’s office or dropped in the drop box outside by the walkway. Applications may also be submitted electronically by email to smedeiros@dighton-ma.gov or by fax to 508-669-5932 as long as your signature is visible.
The absentee ballot will be mailed out as soon as the Town Clerk’s Office receives the early voting ballot application from those who apply. Individuals interested in receiving an early ballot should allow ample mailing time for the application and for the ballot.
Ballots must be returned to the Town Clerk by Election Day on June 6.
Dighton’s Annual Town Election will be held at the Dighton Elementary School, 1250 Somerset Ave., on Saturday, June 6, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
