Easton Police and Fire Departments Respond to Fatal Crash on Bay Road

EASTON — Fire Chief Kevin Partridge and Police Chief Gary Sullivan are pleased to announce that the Easton Fire and Police Departments will be among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton next week to show their appreciation to the hospital’s employees.

EASTON — Police Chief Gary Sullivan and Fire Chief Kevin Partridge report that the Easton Police and Fire Departments responded to a fatal two-car crash today on Bay Road Sunday afternoon.

At approximately 1:50 p.m., Easton Police and Fire were dispatched to the area of 539 Bay Road for a report of a head-on collision. Upon arrival, first responders located the vehicles involved in the crash and began rendering aid.

The lone occupant of one of the vehicles died as a result of their injuries, while the lone occupant of the other vehicle was transported to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries. 

The Massachusetts State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section responded to the scene and is investigating the crash along with Easton Police detectives and the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.

Bay Road remains closed at the intersection with Dean Street to accommodate the investigation. 

The investigation remains ongoing at this time. All further updates on this incident will be provided by the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office.
