WHITMAN — Chief Timothy Grenno is pleased to share that the Whitman Fire Department was among several first responder agencies throughout the region paying a special visit to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton Monday to show appreciation to the hospital’s employees.
As part of the event, first responders drove their police cruisers, fire engines and ambulances through the hospital parking lot before looping around and parking along the North Pearl Street entrance. They then waved and said thank you to the hospital workers as some arrived to work and others left during the 3 p.m. shift change.
The Whitman Fire Department sent one fire engine to the event.
“We are extremely grateful for all the hard work and dedication Good Samaritan staff members have shown the public throughout the course of this pandemic,” said Chief Grenno. “Without them on the front lines, we wouldn’t be able to get our community members the necessary care. We are honored to have taken part in an event such as this to show our appreciation and give them the recognition they deserve.”
