ROCHESTER — Superintendent Kyle Repucci is pleased to announce that Rochester’s R.W. Creteau Technology Center has donated several items, including hospital beds, to local healthcare workers to support the fight against the coronavirus.
Creteau Tech staff worked to assemble a variety of items to donate to Frisbie Memorial Hospital, including five hospital grade beds, plus 3,000 gloves, 100 masks, 60 sets of of goggles and four protective suits.
The beds were once donated to Creteau Tech by Frisbie to support the school’s Health Science Technology program, and are now being returned to the hospital to help augment its capacity to support patients during the COVID-19 pandemic.
“Frisbie has always been a great partner to our schools, and once generously donated these beds so that our students could have hands-on experience in a true-to-life setting,” Director of Career Technology Education Michele Halligan-Foley said. “We’re honored to be able to return their generosity by donating much needed beds and other supplies back to the hospital in order to support the fight against COVID-19.”
