Littleton Police Department to Participate in Autism Patch Fundraiser in April

LITTLETON — Chief Matthew J. Pinard is pleased to announce the Littleton Police Department will be participating in the Autism Police Patch Program throughout the month of April.

The custom-designed patches will help to increase autism awareness throughout the community and raise money to be donated to the Doug Flutie Jr. Foundation for Autism. The organization provides financial assistance for families caring for a loved one with autism and educates the public about autism spectrum disorder (ASD).

Littleton Police Officers will wear the patches on their uniforms over the course of the month to help promote awareness of ASD.

“We are thrilled about this partnership with the Flutie Foundation in order to help support the work they do helping families and educating others about ASD,” Chief Pinard said. “We encourage residents to purchase a patch to help support this worthy cause.”

Beginning April 1, those interested should send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to the Littleton Police Department with a check made out to the Littleton Patrolmen’s Association.

Patches cost $10 and can be purchased by mailing a check to:

All proceeds will be donated directly to the Flutie Foundation at the end of April.

Residents will not be able to purchase the patches directly from the police department or with cash for the time being. The Littleton Police Department is limiting public access to the police station as a precaution against the novel coronavirus (COVID-19).
