BRIDGEWATER — Town Manager Michael Dutton and the Town of Bridgewater announce the launch of a new website that will provide community members with the latest public health and emergency management information on the fluid coronavirus crisis.
The new website, bwaterportal.com, will serve as a one-stop resource for residents, visitors, and business owners to receive all town updates as the COVID-19 situation develops. Visitors can subscribe via email to receive notifications for new posts. The website is also tied to Bridgewater’s town government, fire department and police department social media accounts, so it will automatically post all content from the blog onto all of the town’s Twitter and Facebook accounts at once, without delay.

- Contact information for the town
“The launch of the blog will offer residents one location for easy and quick access to all updates on the novel coronavirus,” Town Manager Michael Dutton said. “As the situation develops, we want to make sure everyone is kept informed, safe, and healthy.”
COVID-19, the illness cause by the novel coronavirus, was declared a global pandemic by the World Health Organization and has led President Donald Trump to declare a national emergency, Governor Charlie Baker to declare a state of emergency in Massachusetts and Town Manager Dutton to declare a state of emergency in Bridgewater.
