Dighton Police Arrest Two Individuals on Larceny Charges Following Burglary of Business

DIGHTON — Chief Robert MacDonald reports that the Dighton Police Department arrested a man and a woman early this morning on larceny and other charges following an alleged burglary at a Dighton business.

DIGHTON — Chief Robert MacDonald reports that the Dighton Police Department arrested a man and a woman early this morning on larceny and other charges following an alleged burglary at a Dighton business.

JUSTIN BELLIVEAU, AGE 40, and RACHAEL MARTIN, AGE 27, BOTH OF NORTH DIGHTON were arrested and charged with:

  • Larceny from a Building
  • Possession of Burglarious Tools
  • Possession of a Dangerous Weapon
  • Trespassing with a Motor Vehicle

Dighton Police responded to Zeke’s Custom Wheels, 1988 Winthrop St., at approximately 4 a.m. today, after receiving multiple reports of suspicious activity.

Upon arrival, officers found BELLIVEAUand MARTIN in the rear of Zeke’s Custom Wheels near a truck loaded full of scrap metal and other items. Through the subsequent investigation, it was determined that BELLIVEAU and MARTIN had stolen the items in the truck.

At the time of their arrest, BELLIVEAUand MARTIN were found to be in possession of a double-edged knife and a samurai-type sword.

BELLIVEAU and MARTIN are expected to be arraigned in Taunton District Court today.

These are allegations. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty.
