EASTON — Fire Chief Kevin Partridge reports that National Grid continues to work on restoring power to the town following yesterday’s high winds and heavy rains.

Currently 3 percent of the town remains without power. The Fire Department estimates full power should be restored town-wide by noon on Sunday, Feb. 9.

Residents who still do not have power should call the Easton Fire Department at 508-230-3311 if they are in need of assistance, including the need for a warming shelter.

Power outages began at approximately 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 7, as a result of the adverse weather conditions. The National Weather Service issued a wind advisory for Easton and all of Bristol County until approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday, with wind gusts reaching as high as 50 miles per hour during the afternoon and early evening.

Customers should check the Report or Check an Outage page on the National Grid website for additional information.
