Rowley Water Department to Temporarily Shut Off Water Along Part of Main Street Thursday

ROWLEY — The Rowley Water Department reports that water will temporarily be shut off tomorrow evening along a portion of Route 1A.

On Thursday, Aug. 15, water service will be shut off along Main Street (Route 1A), from Merrifield Street to White Farms Ice Cream for water main repair work. The service interruption will begin at approximately 9 p.m. and last until approximately 1 a.m. Friday, Aug, 16.

Prospect Street and Jewett Hill Road will also likely be affected by this work.

“This is important work that is being scheduled to minimize the disruption to our customers,” Board of Water Commissioners Chairman Mark Emery said. “We apologize in advance for any inconvenience, and assure that our crews will work as efficiently as possible to complete this work and restore service.”
