Rockland Youth Commission Invites Local Kids to Attend Upcoming Annual Egg Hunt
ROCKLAND — Rockland Youth Commission Director Jeanne Blaney would like to invite local families to attend the 3rd annual Egg*Streme Hunt next week.
The free event will be held on Saturday, April 13 from 1-2:30 p.m. at Rockland Veterans Memorial Stadium behind Rogers Middle School, 100 Taunton Ave. To register for the event click here. Registering helps RYC officials know how many prize bags to make.
The event is open to toddlers and children up to 10-years-old. Parents are asked to provide a basket, bag or other means for children to collect the eggs.
Approximately 3,000 plastic eggs of all colors will be strewn about the field for kids to collect. Once a child collects 10 eggs they can redeem the eggs for a goody bag full of candy, small toys and trinkets.
“It’s always so great seeing all of the eggs in the field as the kids run around picking them up,” Director Blaney said. “This event brings the community together and gets kids running around outside and having fun. Last year we had about 250 kids take part and we hope to see even more this year.”
Children in attendance will get a special visit from a costumed bunny character and can pose for pictures.
There will also be face painting, crafts and bubbles for all to enjoy.
The lucky child who finds the golden egg will receive a special prize.
