NATICK – Family Promise Metrowest (FPM), will hold its 10th annual Walk to End Homelessness this April, signalling a decade of work to support local families facing homelessness.

The 2019 Walk to End Homelessness will take place on Saturday, April 6, at Natick High School at 15 West St. Registration will open at 8 a.m. on the day of the event, and the walk will begin at 9:15 a.m.

People of all ages, and their dogs, are welcome to participate in the nonprofit’s 2.5 mile walk from Natick High School to the Common and back to help raise homelessness awareness and funds for shelter and support programs in the Metrowest Boston Area.

LBF and the Street Gang from 105.7 WROR will entertain walkers at the event, and there will also be food, raffles, and games for children.

“Our mission is to transform the lives of families with children who are homeless with the help of our local communities,” said Sue Crossley, Executive Director of FPM. “Last year over 800 people came out and helped raise over $160,000 for our programs that provide shelter, meals, job assistance, and professional case management.”

The first 400 registered walkers will receive a long-sleeve shirt. Walkers raising over $100 will be entered in a raffle for fun prizes like Red Sox tickets and gift cards.

Register now and start fundraising as an individual, family, or team at http://bit.ly/FamilyPromise2019.

This event is made possible by many generous local businesses and sponsors including Needham Bank, The Village Bank, R.W. Holmes, Mutual One Bank, Charles River Apparel, Wells Fargo, Middlesex Savings Bank, Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital Needham, and 105.7 WROR.
