Final Andover Restaurant Impacted by Gas Crisis to Host Grand Re-Opening
ANDOVER — The final Andover restaurant still closed in the wake of last fall’s gas disaster will celebrate its grand re-opening this evening.
WHERE:
Yella, 16 Post Office Ave.
WHEN:
Friday, Jan. 25, beginning at 5 p.m.
WHAT:
Yella Grille re-opened for business yesterday, and will host a grand re-opening celebration this evening. The event will feature performances by a live drummer indoors and a fire dancer outside the restaurant.
Yella has been closed since September, when it was one of dozens of Andover businesses to be impacted by the gas disaster that caused fires and explosions throughout the Merrimack Valley. It will be the last restaurant affected by the crisis to re-open in Andover.
“We are so grateful for the support we received, not only from the state and local government, but from our loving community of customers and friends as well,” co-owner Danielle Berdahn said. “We were kept afloat by the kind words and support from our Yella community, and we are so excited to be able to reopen our doors/”
Attendees will be treated to complimentary hot chocolate and donuts, and will have the opportunity to win restaurant gift cards. Yella will also be offering buy one-get one appetizers.
