Rochester Invites Residents to Submit to News Portal’s Events Calendar

ROCHESTER — City Manager Blaine Cox is pleased to announce a new avenue for residents and community organizations to promote their events in the city.

The Rochester News and Events Portal, RochesterPortal.com, now enables members of the community to submit their own events to the portal, which features a regularly-updated calendar of events hosted by city agencies and private groups in town.

To submit an event, simply click here and provide all of the information — date, time, location, a relevant photo and a description — in the relevant areas of the page. You may also reach this page by visiting the portal’s homepage and using the “Submit Your Event” link under the Events Calendar dropdown on the main menu.

“I encourage our arts and community organizations to take advantage of this outlet for promoting themselves and their events,” City Manager Cox said. “There are so many things going on in Rochester at any given time, and the news and events portal is a great centralized calendar to find many of them.”

The page is the official news and events portal, and serves as a clearinghouse for news and events that highlight the city’s rich culture, unique businesses, new development and more.
