Newport Police Announce DUI Checkpoint

NEWPORT, VERMONT — Police Chief Seth DiSanto reports that during the weeks of Dec. 10-14 and 17-21, the Newport Police Department, in conjunction with its law enforcement partners, will be conducting sobriety checkpoints within Newport City, Orleans County, Vermont.

An aggressive effort will be made to identify impaired drivers in the highways. Officers will also be enforcing seat belt, child restraint and other motor vehicle laws during these checkpoints.
