EASTON — Chief Kevin Partridge is pleased to announce that the Easton Fire Department completed its training of the newest members of the Easton Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) last week.

The 12 newest members of Easton CERT graduated the training program on Thursday, Nov. 1 at the Easton Fire Department headquarters.

“This was a fantastic group that was eager to learn and participate in the CERT program,” Chief Partridge said. “Easton CERT now boasts over 30 members, all of whom are ready to help at a moment’s notice.”

Classes were held over nine weeks and students underwent training on a variety of topics, including emergency and disaster preparedness, fire safety, first aid, sheltering operations, light search and rescue and more.
