A Message from Newport Police Chief Seth DiSanto

NEWPORT, VERMONT — Below is a statement from Chief Seth DiSanto.

“It is with great sorrow that I report the passing of retired Newport Police Officer Hammond Parker at the age of 94.

“Officer Parker passed away at his Newport home last night with his niece and nurses by his side. Officer Parker served as an officer with the Newport Police Department in the 1950s.

“He served the department with distinction and on behalf of the Newport Police we send his family our support and condolences during this difficult time.”
