Rockport Police Investigating Shoplifting Incident

ROCKPORT — Chief John Horvath reports that the Rockport Police Department is investigating a shoplifting incident that occurred last weekend.

At approximately 2 p.m. on Saturday, Sept. 22, an individual was allegedly filmed stealing a handmade ceramic bowl from One of a Kind, 1 Main St. Rockport Police were subsequently called, and subsequently began an investigation into the theft.

The person of interest is described as a shorter, white woman in her late 50s, with a large build and brown and blonde hair. She was last scene wearing a blue shirt, black pants and glasses. She was also carrying a dark colored purse, which she allegedly used to conceal the bowl, as well as a brown shopping bag.
