West Newbury Police to Host Annual Tri-Town National Night Out

WEST NEWBURY — Chief Art Reed is pleased to announce that the West Newbury Police Department will host its third annual Tri-Town National Night Out next month and invites residents to attend.

WHO:

  • West Newbury, Merrimac and Groveland Police Departments
  • West Newbury, Merrimac and Groveland Fire Departments
  • Massachusetts State Police
  • Essex County Sheriff’s Department

WHEN:

Tuesday, Aug. 7 from 5-8 p.m.

WHERE:

Pentucket Regional High School, 24 Main St., West Newbury

WHAT:

National Night Out is an annual campaign designed to promote partnerships between police and fire officials and their communities in an effort to foster relationships and improve safety in neighborhoods. It occurs on the first Tuesday in August.

During the free event, attendees can explore police, fire and DPW vehicles, as well as tow trucks, a Coast Guard boat and the Massachusetts State Police Air Wing. Atlantic Ambulance will be also be in attendance and the Essex County Sheriff’s Department will perform K-9 demonstrations.

Throughout the night, residents can enjoy music, food, games, prizes and more.
