Bedford, N.H. Police Respond to Fatal Motorcycle Crash

BEDFORD, N.H. — Chief John J. Bryfonski reports that the Bedford Police Department responded to a fatal motorcycle crash last night.

At approximately 11:24 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, Bedford Police responded to a single vehicle collision on New Boston Road near the intersection of Route 114. Upon arrival, officers observed that a 2006 Harley Davidson struck a guardrail on the eastbound side of the road.

The 23-year-old male operator of the motorcycle was transported to Elliot Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. His name is not being released at this time, pending the notification of next of kin.

Following the incident, New Boston Road remained closed between Route 114 and Holbrook Road for approximately 5 1/2 hours, but is now reopened.

This crash remains under active investigation by the Bedford Police Technical Accident Reconstruction Team.
