Newbury Fire Department Responds to Motor Vehicle Crash

NEWBURY — Chief Douglas Janvrin reports that the Newbury Fire Department responded to a two-car motor vehicle crash this afternoon.

At approximately 4:12 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, Newbury Fire responded to the area of 101 High Road for a report of a motor vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, first responders observed a Fiat 500 and a Chevy Impala, both with front end damage, that appeared to have collided head-on.

Newbury Police and Atlantic Ambulance also responded to the scene.

As a result of the crash, the two occupants of the Chevy were transported to an area hospital with serious injuries. The sole occupant of the Fiat was also transported to an area hospital with serious injuries.

The cause of this crash remains under active investigation by the Newbury Fire and Police Departments.
