For the first time, JGPR’s new office in Braintree took home a prize at the ceremony Wednesday, June 13, at the State Room in Boston. The event was put on by the region’s venerable networking and education organization for public relations and communications professionals.

Account Manager Benjamin Paulin was recognized with the Silver Bell Ringer Award in the “Local or Regional Television News” category for his work on a very touching story about Randolph Police Officer Kevin Gilbert, the “living embodiment of service and selflessness,” according to the Randolph Police Department press release.

The Braintree office opened only seven months ago to give the company, headquartered in Georgetown, Massachusetts, more versatility to serve its clients south of Boston.

The Bell Ringer Awards honor superior work completed by PR and communications professionals across New England over the past year. JGPR was honored with two Merit Awards last year and the Gold Bell Ringer Award for Public Affairs in 2016 for its work on the police response to the nationwide opioid crisis.

“In accepting a Bell Ringer award, JGPR is on a stage that includes some of the largest and most tenured public relations and marketing companies in the country. I am exceptionally proud of the work produced by our team, representing the public sector, where our clients change lives each and every day,” said John Guilfoil, the company’s founder and principal owner. “Our work is difficult and time-consuming, but it is extremely rewarding.

“Ben Paulin has brought energy, experience, and skill to our growing company. He jumped right in at the end of 2017 and has made a major impact on our clients, including his efforts to tell the world about amazing people like Officer Gilbert.””

The Bill Ringer Awards were hosted for the second year in a row by WCVB’s Josh Brogadir.
