Winthrop Police Invite Residents to Join Officers at Walk For Josh

WINTHROP — Police Chief Terence M. Delehanty and the Winthrop Police Department are pleased to announce that they will be assisting the Walk For Josh benefit this weekend and invite the public to show their support.

WHERE:

Arthur T. Cummings Elementary School, 40 Hermon St.

WHEN:

Saturday, June 16 at 10 a.m. – 1 p.m.

WHAT:

Winthrop Police will be assisting the organizers of the Walk For Josh benefit to show their support for Arthur T. Cummings Elementary School third grade student Josh Cohen, who has been undergoing treatment for kidney cancer over the past several months.

Several Winthrop Police offices will attend the event on bikes and motorcycles, while the department will donate slush for the event.

The Walk will begin and end at the school and will be followed by food, games, activities, raffles and more.

Registration is $10 per person or $40 maximum per family.

All money raised from this event will be donated to Cohen and his family to provide support as he continues his battle with cancer.
