Rowley Water Department Issues Mandatory Water Use Restriction

ROWLEY — The Rowley Water Department has issued a mandatory water use restriction, effective June 5 until further notice.

Under this water use restriction, there shall be no nonessential outdoor water use from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. seven days per week.

This restriction is due to the Parker River’s water flow dropping below 20 cubic feet per second for three consecutive days. As a result, the Water Department is required to institute these restrictions under the town’s water management permit.
