*MEDIA ADVISORY* Rochester to Dedicate POW/MIA Display at City Hall

ROCHESTER — City Manager Daniel Fitzpatrick is pleased to announce that the city of Rochester will be holding a dedication ceremony for a new POW/MIA Missing Man display later this month and invites the public to attend.

WHEN:

Thursday, June 21, at 9 a.m.

WHERE:

City Hall, 31 Wakefield St. (First floor, outside of the city manager’s office)

WHAT:

Gordon Oliver, chaplain of the Rochester Veteran’s Council, will be performing a dedication ceremony at City Hall for the new POW/MIA Missing Man Table display which will consist of a table and chair.

The chair was donated by the Rolling Thunder Veterans Organization and the Public Works Department will be donating a table and table settings to complete the display.

Together, the two donations are meant to honor all of America’s prisoners of war and personnel missing in action.

“We want to honor all those who serve in our military, especially those who were unable to return home to their families,” said City Manager Fitzpatrick. “By creating this display at City Hall, we hope to keep their memory alive.”
