Rochester Library Partners With Chamber of Commerce to Host Business After Hours

ROCHESTER — Director Brian Sylvester is pleased to announce that the Rochester Public Library will host a networking event for area business leaders next month.

In partnership with the Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce, the library will serve as the venue for the Chamber’s Business After Hours event on Tuesday, June 19, from 5:30-7 p.m.

The event is the next part in the library’s yearlong celebration of its 125th anniversary, and will provide professionals from throughout the Rochester region an opportunity to get to know one another and learn about the diverse resources, programs and services the library offers.

To accommodate the event, the library will close to the general public at 5 p.m. rather than its normally scheduled 8:30 p.m. closing time. Residents are encouraged to come in early on June 19 for any regular library business they wish to conduct.

“I’m very much looking forward to this event, since it will give members of our local business community a unique opportunity to learn more about all that the library has to offer,” Sylvester said.

The event will also feature hors d’ouerves provided by the Governor’s Inn and door prizes courtesy of the Friends of the Rochester Public Library.

Those interested in attending are asked to RSVP online by June 12. RSVPs may be submitted at www.rochesternh.org/BAH-June.
