Yesterday, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Littleton Police officers were dispatched to Alumni Field, 57 Russell St., for a report of an altercation involving a coach and a student athlete at a junior varsity lacrosse game.

Littleton Police Investigating Alleged Altercation

LITTLETON — Below is a statement from Acting Police Chief Matthew Pinard and Littleton Public Schools Superintendent Kelly R. Clenchy: 

“Yesterday, at approximately 6:20 p.m., Littleton Police officers were dispatched to Alumni Field, 57 Russell St., for a report of an altercation involving a coach and a student athlete at a junior varsity lacrosse game. 

“Officers conducted a preliminary investigation into the incident, and are continuing the investigative process in close cooperation with the Littleton Public Schools. At this point, the investigation is active and ongoing, and officers are working diligently to sort out the facts about what occurred during yesterday’s game.

“There were no injuries as a result of this alleged altercation, and no charges are being sought at this time pending the outcome of the investigation.”
