Attleboro Firefighters Union Hosts 26th Annual Community Breakfast
ATTLEBORO — Chief Scott T. Lachance and Attleboro Firefighters Local 848 President Jacob Springs are pleased to announce that the firefighter union’s annual community breakfast was a success this past weekend.
More than 800 Attleboro residents attended the union’s 26th Annual Community Breakfast on Saturday, May 19, at the Union Street fire station.
The event was free to all city residents, who enjoyed a breakfast buffet of pancakes, eggs, sausage, home fries, toast, juice and coffee served by Attleboro firefighters.
“We had a great turnout. Over 40 active and retired firefighters showed up to help out. This is one of our favorite events of the year,” said Lt. Tim Infante, Chairman of the May Breakfast Committee. “All in all it was a great time and we thank everyone who came out.”
New England Patriots defensive lineman Vincent Valentine was also in attendance, along with local politicians and community leaders.
The event also served as a benefit to raise money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) and the department’s Fourth of July fireworks display.
