GLTS Singers, Dancers and Musicians Shine During Talent Show 

ANDOVER — Singers and musicians alike showcased their skills during Greater Lawrence Technical School’s annual talent show last week.

On March 23, in GLTS’ Performing Arts Center, 25 acts gathered to compete for the win in the Got Talent, Singers and Overall Winner categories.

A team of students, teachers and GLTS graduates served as judges.

“These nights are always fun for student artists because it gives them the opportunity to showcase their talents,” Superintendent John Lavoie said. “We have some truly gifted singers and musicians here at GLTS that put on a fantastic show.”

In the Got Talent category (sing with an instrument or dancers):

1st Place: “S & Z” – seniors Solange Burgos, of Lawrence, and Zarais German, of Methuen performed a choreographed dance to three different songs

2nd Place: “God’s Plan” –  sophomore Jahmo Chavez, of Lawrence, sang and played guitar

3rd Place: “All I Know” – seniors Greg Ovalles and Erika Rivera, both of Lawrence, sang a duet with Ovalles on guitar

In the Singers category:

1st Place: “When We Were Young” – junior Jozmelieny Garcia-Batista, of Methuen

2nd Place: “Best Part” – sophomore Jahmo Chavez, of Lawrence, and junior Ariana Peroza, of Methuen

3rd Place: A tie between:

“Until the End of Time” – sophomore Jahmo Chaverz, of Lawrence

“Flashlight” – juniors Jozmelieny Garcia, of Methuen and Nankmary Delgado, of Lawrence

4th Place: “Toxic”- senior Erika Rivera, of Lawrence

5th Place: “Fallin'” – junior Ariana Peroza, of Methuen

6th Place: “Jolene” – juniors Ariana Peroza, of Methuen, Mileidys Batista and Nankmary Delgado, both of Lawrence

Overall Winner:

“Ain’t No Rest For the Wicked”- senior Christine Gonzalez, of North Andover, sang and played guitar
