East Bridgewater Police Welcome Students Back to School from February Vacation

EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Scott Allen is pleased to share that members of the East Bridgewater Police Department welcomed students back to school from February vacation this morning.

Ten police officers stood outside of East Bridgewater Junior Senior High School, Mitchell Middle School and Central Elementary School giving fist bumps to the students as they walked through the main entrances.

The students had been on school vacation since Saturday, Feb. 17. Monday, Feb. 26 was a professional development day for school staff.

“We just wanted to welcome the kids back to school after their vacation with a smile and a fist bump,” Chief Allen said. “We’ve done this a couple times in the past and the kids — and our officers — really get a kick out of it.”
